Kilsyth Basketball is excited to announce the new naming rights sponsor of its Victorian Youth Championship mens and womens teams; Yarra Ranges Kia. Yarra Ranges Kia joins Kilsyth Basketball as one of its major partners, and will play a vital role in the development of the two elite sides.

According to Yarra Ranges Kia General Manager Angelo Valerio, the deal is a “perfect fit” for the company.

“It’s fantastic that the Kilsyth Cobras Youth Championship teams will receive the support that they so well deserve, and can go into the 2013 season with the best chance of success. We’re excited about working with the Association over the coming years, to make our partnership a successful one,” he said in a statement.

The partnership means that the Youth Championship teams will now go by the official name of ‘The Yarra Ranges Kia Kilsyth Cobras’ and will also have the Yarra Ranges Kia logo featured on their jersey for the 2013 season.

In 2012 Victoria had two ‘Under 23’ competitions: The Youth League conducted by Big V, and the D League operated by Basketball Victoria on behalf of Victorian SEABL Clubs. Basketball Victoria believes that the current situation of two ‘Under 23’ Leagues operating in Victorian is untenable in the future for a number of reason, and from 2013 will conduct one competition for ‘Under 23’s’ to be known as the Victorian Youth  Championship, to be managed by Big V. Kilsyth Basketball General Manager, Grant Wallace, is delighted with the Yarra Ranges Kia naming rights sponsorship, and believes that “the two organisations will be able build a strong and enduring partnership”. “The synergies between our two organisations provide a wonderful union, and it is fantastic to partner with another community leader of Yarra Ranges” he said.

Cobra’s fans will also benefit from Yarra Ranges Kia’s involvement with Association with access to private sales and offers throughout the year.
