The NBL1 Cobras wrap-up the weekend on Sunday as they take on the Launceston Tornadoes (Women) and NW Tasmania Thunder (Women) in an interstate showdown.
The Cobra Women enter the weekend at 3-2 and will look to defend home court against a talented Tornadoes (4-2) team, who received an incredible 52-point, 26-rebound explosion by superstar forward, Keely Froling on Saturday night. Kilsyth will be boosted by the short term addition of 2019 Finals MVP and Australian Opal, Lauren Nicholson, who returns to the Cobras for the next four games. With the Cobras and Tornadoes producing some thrilling postseason battles in recent years, this is one not to be missed.
The Cobra Men wrap-up the weekend as they take on the North West Tasmania Thunder in what may be the early matchup of the season. A battle of two of the top-four teams in the league, the Cobras (4-1) enter on the heels of a huge home win over the reigning champion Nunawading Spectres, while the Thunder look to improve on their league-best 5-1 record. With both teams boasting four double-digit scorers and the leagues top-two defences, this 1 vs 4 showdown promises to be a spectacular one.
