The Cobra Men took it to the hometown Perth Wheelcats in a pair of road games in Perth on the weekend to move to 4-1, headlined by a double overtime thriller on Saturday night.

Our Cobra Men are headed to Perth for Round 3 National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL) action this weekend, where they’ll take on the hometown Wheelcats and look to build on a promising start to their 2017 season.

The Kilsyth Cobra Women were unable to take advantage of home court in Round 3 of the WNWBL season, going 0-4 over the weekend as they cling to the league’s final playoff position.

Powered by a big weekend from star Tristan Knowles, the Cobra Men opened their 2017 campaign with two wins and one loss in Round 1 action.

The 2017 NWBL season tips-off this weekend in Wollongong, with the back-to-back reigning champion Cobra Men set to embark on the arduous task of achieving a three-peat.

The Kilsyth Cobra Women bounced back from a tough opening round to the WNWBL season, going 2-for-3 in Round 2 action at Sydney over the weekend.

Kilsyth’s own Josh Allison and Sam Woosnam cleaned up at Basketball Victoria’s annual awards evening on Monday night, with Allison taking home the Charles Ryan Wheelchair Basketball Athlete of the Year award, while Woosnam was named the states Coach of the Year for 2016.

The Kilsyth Cobra Women tipped-off their 2017 WNWBL regular season in Perth on the weekend, but hampered by a plethora of injuries, they were unable to record an opening round win.
