Moult, a Fosters Phanto
ms junior, will look to bounce back from a frustrating 2015 campaign, one that saw her hampered by back and ankle injuries which forced her to miss an eight-game stretch late in the season.

“I’m really happy to return for a third season and am looking forward to the cha
llenge of helping us get back to the top of the South Conference,” Moult said.

“Last year was incredibly frustrating for me from an injury standpoint, so I’m excited to play pain-free when I get back on the floor.”

The former Fresno State Bulldog had to bypass the current WNBL season – where she had signed to play with the Melbourne Boomers – as she underwent offseason back surgery in September. Though she was hobbled in 2015, Moult has
proven that when healthy not only is she a deadly perimeter threat, but also one of the league’s most versatile defenders.

“With her ability to knock down shots from the perimeter and the deep range that she has, Rosie really spreads the defence to open up the floor for others,” Lady Cobras Head Coach Woosnam said.

“But more importantly, she drives us on the defensive end, being able to guard smaller or bigger opponents.”

Despite missing a large portion of the season, Moult was still amongst SEABL’s leaders in 3-point shooting, finishing the year ranked 11th in makes from beyond the arc (39). In 2014, her first year in the league, Moult fell just short of leading all players in 3-pointers made (68 3FG, 2nd in SEABL), while also ranking in the top-12 for steals and blocked shots.

“Rosie is a very important part to our overall success and we’re thrilled to have her back, ” Woosnam added.

“We’re looking forward to having her injury free and taking on more of a leadership role in 2016, which she beginning to embrace already from the sidelines this offseason.”

With Moult and reigning league MVP Steph Cumming returning, the Lady Cobras promise to again be one of SEABL’s most exciting, high-scoring teams. Moult expects to be back on the court in April, when the Lady Cobras tip-off their 2016 regular season.
