The Dandenong Rangers travel up Eastlink this Sunday afternoon to face the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras on Hugh McMenamin Court in what will be two highly anticipated games.
The Swinburne Lady Cobras will face off against the Dandenong Rangers this Sunday in what will be a clash between two of the hottest performing teams in the League at the moment. Dandenong is currently on an eight-game win streak and leading the East table with ten wins and three losses, whilst the Swinburne Lady Cobras just tallied their 7th straight win to keep them in second place in the South.
The Swinburne Lady Cobras have come off a big double-header weekend, beating the Albury Wodonga Lady Bandits comfortably before heading to Bendigo for a 9-point victory. The Swinburne Lady Cobras are rapidly becoming one of the teams to beat this season, and the Lady Rangers will surely be up to the challenge when they travel down to Kilsyth Sports Centre to play them this Sunday.
Also coming off a few wins, the Dandenong legs will be raring to go when they hit Hugh McMenamin Court. Dandenong gave the Launceston Tornadoes a 45-point touch up two weeks ago, and defeated the Nunawading Spectres by 11-points last week. They say all streaks must come to an end; the question is whose will end on Sunday afternoon?
Sunday’s game will be the second of the weekend for both clubs as our Swinburne Lady Cobras return from Ballarat and Dandenong play at Frankston on Saturday.
KEEP AN EYE ON…. Sarah Parsons, she averaged 15.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2 steals in Round 10 to help guide the team to a 2-0 weekend. Parsons has been one of many who have helped this Swinburne Lady Cobras team to its resurgence this season, returning to her junior association after two years away from the Club.
The Swinburne Lady Cobras will take on the Ballarat Rush in Ballarat on Saturday night with tip-off at 6:00pm, before returning home to host the Dandenong Rangers with tip-off at 12:30pm.
Coming off back-to-back losses last weekend, the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras have a must-win game when the Dandenong Rangers head to the Kilsyth Sports Centre this Sunday.
The Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras will be eager to get back on the winner’s list this weekend and resurrect their season. After narrowly losing to the Albury Wodonga Bandits last week on their home court, they will be looking to impress the home crowd when they step out this weekend. Currently holding on to the 4th place spot in their division, the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras will look to make a big stand and get back on track when Dandenong visits.
Like the women, Sunday will be the second game for both teams in Round 11 competition. The Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras will first take on Ballarat on the road on Saturday whilst the Dandenong Rangers plays away at Frankston.
Coming off two wins last weekend, this Dandenong side will be no easy-beat when they hit Hugh McMenamin Court this Sunday. Currently second in the East Division, with just percentages separating them from the number one spot, Dandenong will be looking to improve their current standing.
KEEP AN EYE ON…. Zach Malvik, returning from injury last week will be looking at putting his stamp back on the team and reinvigorating the group as one of the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras veterans. Prior to his injury, Malvik was in stunning form and last week against the Bandits scored 10 points and had 4 rebounds and 4 assists. In his second week back he will look to improve on all categories.
The Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras will take on the Ballarat Rush in Ballarat on Saturday night with tip-off at 7:45pm, before returning home to host the Dandenong Rangers with tip-off at 2:30pm.
