Despite holding the Sabres to just 7 points in the final quarter Kilsyth could not convert at the offensive end down the stretch.

Cameron Johnson (15pts), Joel Naburgs (11pts), Glenn Potts (11pts, 8rbds) and Liam McInerney (10pts, 10rbds) led Kilsyth but shooting at 35% for the game was never going to be enough.

For Sandringham Josh Wilcher (31pt, 6rbds, 4ass) led all scorers and was the difference in the game in a superb all round performance.

The Workforcexs Corbas will return to the floor in 2010 without senior players Joel Naburgs (Stetson University), Liam McInerney (Stetson University), Cameron Johnson (Viterbo University) and Brett Seljak (University of West Georgia) who will all depart in the next fortnight to take up basketball scholarships in the United States.

The Club wishes them all the best and is looking forward to them returning to Kilsyth in the future.

Emily Van Poppel led the Cobras with 13 points while Kaysie Noble had 10. Three other players scored 6 points for Kilsyth but in wasn’t enough as they struggled to contain the Spectres on the defensive end.

The D League women will now have a break during the off-season before returning to the floor later in the year for the 2010 pre-season.
